Memory is continuous construction or reconstruction. We aim to reconstruct the circumstances of the birth of Lili Ország's paintings in order to get a more accurate picture of her art. Using written sources, stories of spaces are outlined that create new interpretative frameworks for the presentation of her oeuvre. In the nave, as a space dedicated to remembrance, I reconstruct these spaces by subtle means, from paus paper that descend like curtains. Visitors walking through the exhibition can enter the spaces as memories. In the sanctuary I place an altar-like patchwork table. By walking around the table, we can learn about the journeys that inspired Ország Lili or the spaces that influenced her art in more indirect ways as mentioned. These are the apocryphal spatial narratives that form the main interpretative framework of the oeuvre: the artist's tiny studio apartment, an imaginary chapel, the 1980 Labyrinth exhibition and a church for a single person.
