There is a former boiler house in the garden of the apartment building at Magyar Jakobinusok Tere 2-3. In our project we imagined a new life for this building, with the help of the residents in constructing and also brainstorming ideas. Our TDK thesis would like to present the initial step of a joint planning process and foresee a possible way to renew the boiler house. Residential focus plays an important role in our process. We divided the project into stages, which help to overcome financial and time obstacles and provide an opportunity for community building. The completed boiler house could also be used as a winter garden, summer kitchen, storage, garden cinema, or community space. Throughout our planning, we kept in mind that as little money as possible should be used to renovate the building, as previous attempts to transform it ran aground due to a lack of funds.
