Artist in Residence

Located in the centre of Gödöllő, this is an exciting under-utilised area of the city that offers potential for new development. Inserted between the city library and the firewall of the Erzsébet Hotel, the studio building continues the typical layout and facade of the area, yet subtly shapes the street scene. The two great masses of the building are connected by a neck core enclosing the circulation spaces. The inner courtyard between them divides the spaces, but the curtain walls create an intense relationship with the separate functions on each level. All this is reinforced by covered open transitional spaces and green roof terraces, which can be freely shaped and used.
