Aszód Library

The new library in Aszod was planned near the city center with the plot having direct connection to it. The nearby yards and clearings had great influence in the placement of the mass. Together, the spaces that are determined by the new library and the old gardens transform into a continuous park. The plot has two structures, a smaller entry buildig leading the visitors from the busy Asod's centre inside, and a much larger main library backed up in a calmer space. Rasterised pilaster element runs through both parts, intesifying the monolithic structures in order to balance the ever changing inner spaces achived by different cieling hights. The building was designed to accomodate spacial and functional diversity.
