Cinema and student dormitory, Budapest

The cinema and student dormitory consists of two masses. The 6-storey unit continues the unbroken row of facades on the street side, and incorporates the foyer of the cinema and the dormitory on the upper floors. The single-storey auditorium is on the inner side of the plot, complemented with an open-air courtyard and a small stage. The wide corridors on the dormitory floors create small community spaces, while the perforated slabs add a visual connection between the stories. There is a rooftop terrace on the top of both building units.
