Community cafe of Zebegény

The new community courtyard, located on the hillside once belonging to Zebegény's former mill, serves both the residents and elementary school students with its four small buildings. During the semester, I worked on the building integrated into the hillside, which functions both as a café and a community space. The uppermost level features a multifunctional area, where residents working remotely can gather if they seek social interaction. The building consists of a silicate shell and an internal structural frame with a wood emphasis. The interior design of the house is characterized by a minimalist, simple use of materials. In the harmony of plastered and wooden surfaces, in key spots, old, used pieces of furniture are featured.
