FILMMUSEUM 11. Szerb street Budapest 1056 Hungary The design area has an infill type in a closed-row situation that has two specific characteristics: the site is considerably narrow and the hanging corridors of the neighboring building has an overview of the site. The programme of the project is a film theater where visitors can watch classical and art films and attend various exhibitions. The concept of the building derives from the alignment with the neighboring building and is based on the floor plan and section drafting. Additional functional design is the cinema that has been placed to the basement and the three-level exhibition space. Two most important components of the concept is the film poster installation space and the floating facade.
