Forgotten childhood

My diploma project is an attempt to rethink an institutional network that supports students' after-school leisure activities while strengthening local identity and community building. Drawing on lessons from the past and international examples, the concept will create a place in Veszprém where students can develop through lectures, workshops and community programmes. The building consists of three main units: a tower housing the community spaces, a multifunctional large hall that can be flexibly adapted for different activities, and a service corridor connecting the main functions. The use of raw reinforced concrete, textured on two levels, evokes the character of a castle on the outside, while the warm, soft cladding of the interior spaces creates a welcoming and homely atmosphere. The organisation of the space and the programme offer aims to provide an inspiring and inclusive environment for young people.
