House of Animation

The building's design relates to the "CELLULOID AND FIREWALLS - Hybrid Film Theaters in Budapest" theme announced by the Department of Public Building Design. My planned function is a museum/cinema, primarily for Hungarian classic and contemporary animation creation and presentation. The facility creates a communal space where the Hungarian animation community connects and welcomes animated film enthusiasts, promoting the domestic animation industry and paying homage to iconic Hungarian films from the 60s-80s. The creative workshop and stop-motion studio allow for educational activities and workshops. The design prioritizes redefining film experiences in communal spaces and serving as an inspiring environment for creation and community.
