House of Music

My plan was to revive a small pedestrian street along the Malomárok in Cluj Napoca. To do this, I used both of the given plots of land. On the smaller site overlooking the Malomárok, I created a covered outdoor stage connected to the street by a wide bridge. On the larger site, I designed a music building with an instrument shop, performance space, studio, and a music school. I have tried to retain the valuable facade facing the market and the old building behind it while showing the new parts of the building understated. These two buildings and their associated features are a major contribution to bringing the street back to life for a street festival or any other community event.
