The aim of the open-air music space I designed is to create a community space where chamber concerts, master classes and a variety of music programs can be held in the tranquil environment of Tabán. The complex consists of a small open-air stage and auditorium area and a background building, housing all the neccessary functions such as a small buffet, a cloakroom, and restrooms. This way visitors can experience a concert hall level convinience while enjoying the benefits of outdoor music events. The building has a geometrical structure, I formed the main space by removing a quarter of a sphere from the original cuboid. The auditorium is north-faced, thus the side of the Buda castle provides excellent background for the concerts. Furthermore, I wanted to create a firm connection to nature so the inner space has three curved glass walls. Through each of them people can access different outdoor areas belonging to the complex.
