Swimming pool and beach in Kőszeg

The new swimming pool and the natural beach fit into the abandoned area of the former Kőszeg beach, using the existing elements. The arrival space welcomes visitors as an independent unit, with solid surfaces and vertically open spaces. Thanks to the large openings of the pool area, it merges with the outside world, the surfaces of the CLT panels give it a natural, soft appearance. The reinforced concrete frame structure strengthens the connection between the old and the new building. The building hides among the trees, the mass forming creats a scale and atmosphere appropriate to the function.
