Youth Community Center

The planned youth community centre is located in the centre of Budafok, at the intersection of Péter Pál Street and Kálváriahegy Street. The function is community centre, but what does that mean? Open, transparent, varied, multifunctional - these keywords guided my concept. The core of the two-storey building is the staircase, which functions not only as a walkway but also as a grandstand for events. The staircase counterbalances the geometric design of the floor plan - its direction is determined not by the floor plan but by the gradient of the site. This duality - the structured and the seemingly spontaneous layout - results in dynamically changing spaces.
