Youth library

The site is located in the central district of Esztergom, directly opposite the university. It is bordered on one side by a busy street, while the remaining sides are enclosed by firewalls of varying heights. Consequently, the building’s functions are organized around an inner courtyard, which allows for a quiet reading area facing the garden at the rear of the site, while a café is situated on the street-facing side. In response to the gradually increasing height of the surrounding firewalls, the rear part of the building rises to two stories. A gallery space here establishes a connection between the rooftop terrace and the rear wing of the building, creating a continuous, walkable spatial sequence.
