My plan aims to improve youngsters's perception of libraries by breaking away from its quiet and strict atmosphere; together with the books, it presents a new meeting place for teenagers with lively communal spaces. Using surfaces of varying degrees of transparency, I created connections between the different functions according to their purpose. While the entire ground floor buzzes with the multifunctional indoor court, the first floor is quieter due to the interior glazing, with only the visual connection remaining strong. When designing the spaces of the house, I made sure to draw a "softening" layer everywhere. Once I had the raw concept and structural clarity, I tried to add that little extra something that is really just aesthetics, but which makes a house lovable and easy to accept. This is where the coloring of the concrete surface, the curved shape of the main beams and openings, and the unique perforated ceramic wall come from.
